Birchgrove Baking is a cozy bakery located in Montpelier, Vermont. Every day, we prepare an assortment of breakfast pastries, scones, and cookies, as well as small cakes and tarts, all baked from scratch daily. We also offer house-made, warm, fresh doughnuts on Sundays, in addition to coffee and espresso drinks. Come by, grab a coffee and pastry and enjoy our quiet back deck overlooking the waterfall. We are looking for a barista with a cheery personality, who enjoys working mornings and early afternoons. Must be polite, responsible, and reliable as this involves opening shifts. We are looking for a team player with excellent customer service who is willing to jump in and help out where needed. Please note, this is not a seasonal position -- we are looking for someone able to work an assortment of shifts throughout the week, both weekdays and weekends. Due to labor regulations, this position is not suited for high school class schedules. The position includes making espresso drinks, helping customers, stocking the store with paper products, merchandise and baked goods, helping with general bakery operations such as boxing up specialty cakes and taking orders, and light cleaning and dishes. Previous barista experience would be great, but not necessary -- we are happy to train the right person who has the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
